Fleur de sel in world cuisine

The trend is towards culinary escapism!
Opening up to new recipes is also an opportunity to set off on an encounter with other cultures and discover their history. South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, each continent abounds with specialties that are as surprising in their taste, texture or color.

In dishes renowned for their fragrance and spicy flavor, Le Guérandais Fleur de sel de Guérande has its rightful place. A natural flavor enhancer, Fleur de sel accompanies you in all your culinary experiences and sublimates your dishes.

How to use Le Guérandais Fleur de sel in cooking

Fleur de sel de Guérande is used at the end of cooking, just a few seconds before serving. Fine and light, Fleur de sel has a strong salting power and is therefore used sparingly. Just a few pinches, evenly distributed, are enough to enhance the flavors of your dish.

Fleur de sel with spices: a good idea for spicing up all your dishes

Le Guérandais Fleur de sel invites itself into exotic cuisine and blends perfectly with spices from faraway lands. You can, of course, make these blends at home and confection your own flavored Fleur de sel by following these few tips:

For 100 grams of spicy salt, you'll need 70 grams of Fleur de sel and 30 grams of spices of your choice. Use a pestle to crush the mixture until it's homogeneous.

All that's left to do is pour it into a transparent jar decorated with a label.

Here are just a few examples of Fleur de sel recipes with spices, tried and tested, to recreate in just a few minutes at home:

  • Vanilla Fleur de sel: lightly scented and perfectly suited to the preparation of desserts, vanilla Fleur de sel spices up sweet and savory Creole or Reunion dishes like vanilla chicken or honey duck with exoticism.

  • Fleur de sel au curry: a must-have in Indian cuisine, will enhance curry-based specialties such as samoussas, which everyone loves, or tandoori chicken, a classic of the genre.

  • Paprika Fleur de sel:The star spice of Hungarian cuisine, paprika adds a fiery note to any dish. Added to guacamole or tagine, Fleur de sel au paprika brings a delicate smoky flavor that awakens the taste of vegetables.
